BODY FOUND ON SNEED ROAD IDENTIFIED
St Lucie County (treasurecoast.com) -Sheriff Ken Mascara announced that the body found on November 17, 2020 along Sneed Road in western St. Lucie County has been identified.
“In the last two days, we have received several phone calls, emails and Facebook messages with information about individuals that could possibly be linked back to the body found on Sneed Road,” said Chief Deputy Brian Hester. “Once of those tips proved to be accurate and our victim has been confirmed to be Maryann Zoon (4/16/1955). She was 65 years old and was last known to have lived in an apartment in Fort Pierce off south U.S. 1.”
Next of kin, who are out of state, were notified and confirmed that Maryann had no relatives in our area.
“Now, our investigation into the final days and hours of Maryann’s life can begin,” Hester said. “And while we still don’t believe this to be a homicide, we need to find out why Maryann was left alongside Sneed Road. We are again asking the public to help us with these details. No detail is too small and I want to assure those watching who might know what happened to Maryann that if she died in your presence, we need to know that.”
