Back to School Expo 2015
~ School Readiness – Starting School on Time and Prepared ~
(FORT PIERCE) – School is right around the corner and that means children and their parents are starting to prepare for not only another year of learning, but starting this school term ready and on time.
A local group of community organizations and businesses supporting school readiness for children and families in St. Lucie County is planning the 8th Annual St. Lucie County Back to School Expo.
The event will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Havert L. Fenn Center (2000 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce) from 8:30 am – 11:30 am.
The Back to School Expo will provide “one stop” access to valuable information and services for the whole family, including information about the 680 form, safety information, community resources, information on student assignment, backpacks, school supplies, information on shots and appointments given on the spot. The child must be present to receive all supplies.
Resources will also be available to insure that all uninsured children are afforded the opportunity to enroll in the Florida KidCare Program –the state health insurance plan.
Over 1500 children attended this event last year, and the organizing group is planning for even more for this year.
