Another dry weekend here on the Treasure Coast, and now some parts have South Florida have entered into an official drought.
According to the United States Drought Monitor, the coastal regions of Martin County are in moderate drought while the rest of the Treasure Coast are abnormally dry.
Things are even worse to our south, where portions of Broward and Miami-Dade counties are in an extreme drought, and Palm Beach county is in a severe drought.
The drought conditions are expected to stretch into August, as this is a normally slightly-drier time of the summer.
