American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett dies at 76

Jimmy Buffett, the singer and songwriter of “Margaritaville” and dozens of other songs, has died at 76 years old, according to a statement posted on his website and social media.“Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs,” the statement said. “He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many.”A cause of death was not revealed.

Buffett is survived by his wife, Jane Slagsvol, two daughters, Savannah Jane and Sarah Delaney, and son Cameron Marley.

Our heartfelt sympathies to Jane, Savannah, Sarah, Cameon and the rest of the family and friends.

My friend Kim suggested we all eat cheeseburgers and have Margaritas at 5 pm.
