St. Lucie County Seeks Volunteers for Housing Committee
ST LUCIE COUNTY (treasurecoast.com) – St. Lucie County Commissioners are looking for civic-minded residents to serve on the Affordable Housing Committee.
Two out of the four members appointed must fall into one of these categories:
- A resident who is actively engaged in the banking or mortgage industry in connection with affordable housing;
- One resident who is actively engaged in the residential home building industry in connection with affordable housing;
- One resident who is actively engaged as a for- profit provider of affordable housing;
- One resident who is actively engaged as a real estate professional in connection with affordable housing;
- One resident who is actively engaged as a not- for- profit provider of affordable housing;
- One resident who represents employers within the jurisdiction;
- One resident who is actively engaged as an advocate for low- income persons in connection with affordable housing.
Applications should be submitted before Friday, Aug. 6. Some boards/committees may require specific qualifications or past experience, but the minimum requirements are:
- Must be a St. Lucie County resident;
- Must not be related to another committee member, County Commissioner or county employee involved with the committee of interest;
- Must not be employed by the same business entity as other committee members;
- Must not serve on more than two county committees (does not apply to Ad Hoc Committees).
