Two Deadly Auto Accidents over the weekend

One person is dead following a collision along West Indiantown Road at the Florida Turnpike overpass. The crash happened Saturday night. Jupiter Police say a man whose car broke down got out of his Honda sedan when a second car, a Volkswagen, slammed into his car. The man died at the scene. The driver of the Volkswagen and two passengers in the Honda went to Jupiter Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. Police shut down several lanes on West Indiantown Road to investigate.

Then, a 79-year-old man was killed in a car crash Saturday morning in Stuart after authorities say he may have experienced a medical issue. The Florida Highway Patrol says Richard Teetrick was driving through a parking lot on US1 just before 8:30 a.m. when the possible medical issue may have happened. Teetrick continued driving through the parking lot. He was swerving back and forth until the car jumped the curb and hit a tree. Teetrick was taken to Martin Memorial North.  He was pronounced dead. The FHP says the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
