MCSO lock down perimeter of Palm City apartment complex to locate gunman who opened fire on an unsuspecting taxi driver Christmas Eve
Palm City, Fla (treasurecoast.com)-The high quality cameras placed throughout Coquina Cove Apartments in Palm City captured the alarming image of a gunman moving through the development, with what looks like shotgun and a mission. In the early morning hours of Christmas Eve, 38-year old Dylan Randall Frost grabbed a shotgun and walked outside of his apartment towards an unsuspecting cab driver who had just dropped off three passengers at the complex. Frost walked directly towards the cab and fired two rounds, riddling the driver’s car with holes. The driver was so frightened by the shots, he took off and headed towards West Palm Beach as he called for help.
When deputies arrived they viewed the video capturing the gunman and his description. They then located a shell casing. Shortly afterwards, 38-year old Dylan Frost was in custody, and charged with attempted first degree murder. When located Frost had removed his clothes and was wearing a t-shirt and women’s pajama bottoms. Frost and his girlfriend live at the complex.
Frost gave multiple spontaneous stories as to why he shot at the taxi cab. The driver, who works for Lyft, said he didn’t know his assailant. He said this is his first encounter with Frost. The driver was not injured.
