Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Vehicle Theft Suspect
At approximately 7:45 A.M. yesterday morning, a 2007 Black Jeep Wrangler was reported stolen from James Road in the unincorporated area of Cocoa.
At approximately 11:15 A.M., the vehicle was spotted in the area of Cape Canaveral. The vehicle then fled upon sight of Deputies. The Sheriff’s Aviation Helicopter responded and was able to assist in coordinating units with the apprehension of 29-year-old Michael Anthony Brayboy of Cocoa. Brayboy was arrested as he ran from the jeep after deputies used stop sticks to disable the vehicle.
Brayboy was arrested for Grand Theft Auto, Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement, Driving with a Suspended License, Burglary, and Violation of Felony Probation. He is currently being held in the Brevard County Jail on a NO BOND status.
Brayboy is suspected as being involved in other burglaries in the central Brevard area.
