Heathcote Botanical Gardens hosts its Annual Fall Garden Festival across two days each fall. The event runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 210 Savannah Road in Fort Pierce, Florida. Admission is free with a suggested $1 donation.
The festival celebrates plants, gardening, and community. It honors James J. Smith, benefactor of Heathcote’s Bonsai Gallery, commemorating what would be his 100th birthday. The gardens feature one of the largest public displays of tropical bonsai in the United States, including three trees showcased at EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival.

- 45+ vendor booths featuring plants, flowers, crafts, garden supplies, and gifts

Visitors can explore rare plant finds alongside local crafts and products. Educational demonstrations cover conservation and garden techniques. Children’s programming teaches young visitors about nature and gardening through hands-on activities.
The festival showcases Heathcote’s themed tropical and native plant gardens. Attendees can tour the historic Heathcote House and various garden galleries throughout the grounds. The event brings together seasoned gardeners, plant enthusiasts, and families for a weekend of discovery.
