Established on the original Heathcote Nursery site, the gardens now include the historic Heathcote House which was built in 1902.

Spanning five acres, Heathcote Botanical Gardens consists of various tropical garden rooms, each offering a distinct sensory experience. The James J. Smith Bonsai Gallery is home to the largest public bonsai collection in the United States. Heathcote Botanical Gardens provides educational classes, events, and tours year-round, with a broad message of conservation and environmental awareness.

Open Tuesday through Saturday, Heathcote Botanical Gardens offers a beautiful outting for both locals and tourists in the region. Admission is affordable, making it accessible for large groups and families.
