9-1-1 Caller Didn’t Know When To Clam Up

Stuart, Fla (Treasurecoast.com) -On December 18, 2017, Stuart Police received back to back 9–1-1 calls from a customer wanting to complain about the size of his seafood dish. Nelson Agosto 51, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida ordered and ate a steamed clam dinner. He claimed it was “too small”.

Nelson was refusing to shell out the money for the food. He attempted to call the police using the 9-1-1 system. Nelson wanted an officer to respond to the local Stuart restaurant to settle the dispute.

Upon arrival, Officer David Jacobson investigated Nelson’s complaint and determined he was in hot water. The Stuart Police  issued a Notice to Appear Summons for Misuse of 9-1-1. He was released from the scene.
