Martin County Sheriff warns Ford “F” series truck owners to be vigilant
Martin County, Fl (treasurecoast.com) -The Martin County Sheriff’s office is asking Ford “F” series truck owners to be vigilant.
They said the following:
“They are popular on the road, and are again extremely popular with thieves. As a pre-emptive crime prevention effort, we would like to warn all Ford “F” Series truck owners about an uptick in thefts, not only across the country, but in surrounding counties.
The trucks have been very popular among thieves for many reasons, one of which is the black-market sale of parts. Our Criminal Investigations Division and Road Patrol Units have been very active in an effort to prevent thefts in Martin County, and so far—we have been successful. Still, we need everyone to be vigilant, remove any firearms from the vehicles when you exit it, lock it when you leave it, and call us if you see or hear anything suspicious. Our #Wrong-Exit warriors will be happy to answer those calls.
We are asking everyone, despite the make or model of your vehicle, to be vigilant as well.”
