2nd Arrest in Case Involving Gun on Freshman Learning Center Campus
Yesterday afternoon, detectives with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office arrested a second fifteen year old freshman student in connection with Monday’s incident where a loaded gun was found in a student’s locker on campus. Detectives recovered a second weapon in the woods off school property, which the arrested student admitted to possessing. The second juvenile was also charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds.
Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar stated, “Our detectives continue to work with our school resource team to investigate this incident. We are focused and vigilant in protecting our children each and every school day.”
