Wilderness Park is a natural area in Port St. Lucie, Florida. It is located in St. Lucie County and provides open space for passive recreation and shoreline access along nearby waterways.
Fishing is permitted, and visitors can use the open space for walking and casual outdoor activity. The park is unmanned and has limited amenities. It includes a trash receptacle but no restrooms, water, or electric service. As a result, visits are typically short and require planning ahead.
The site is currently undergoing improvements through the Wilderness Trail project. Construction began in January and is expected to be completed by Fall 2026. The project will add a 2.1-mile, 10-foot-wide concrete trail designed for walking and biking. A new restroom facility, covered pavilion, picnic tables, and a drinking fountain will also be added. Native and ornamental landscaping is being introduced to restore habitat and improve the environment.
The trail will connect areas such as The Saints and The Port along the St. Lucie River. Nearby points of interest include Veterans Memorial Park and the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens.
