I was previously a 1st violinist with the Treasure Coast Symphony and currently am playing with the Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra. I have been a violin tutor at the Indian River Charter High School and taught students of the Gifford Youth Orchestra. My latest student is an 80 year old who last played the violin in Junior High School! I firmly believe it is better to adapt a student’s violin lessons to the their learning style rather than follow a rigid format.
An hour lesson for a teenager or adult is $20. Younger children do better with shorter lessons which are generally invoiced montly, depending on lesson frequency.
No, but I can refer learners to resources where they can buy or rent an instrument.
I do both live and online lessons. For online, I typically send a link for the student to log on 1/2 hour before our scheduled lesson.
