Vero Beach Halloween Parade & Costume Contest

The annual Vero Beach Halloween Parade & Costume Contest brings together families, friends, and community groups for a festive celebration of creativity and Halloween spirit. Participants decorate cars, build floats, and wear imaginative costumes as part of this beloved Vero Beach tradition.

Lineup and Route

Lineup starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Women’s Club parking lot (1534 21st Street). The parade begins at 10 a.m., traveling down 21st Street before turning onto 14th Avenue. It concludes at the Vero Beach Community Center (2266 14th Avenue).

Spectators can watch along 14th Avenue between 21st Street and 23rd Street.

Costume Contest

After the parade, the celebration continues inside the Community Center with a costume contest. Prizes are awarded in multiple categories:

  • Best Costumes
  • Best Decorated Cars
  • Best Floats

Registration and Participation

Families and individual walkers can join without registering. However, decorated cars, floats, and walking groups must submit an application beforehand. There is no entry fee. For applications call (772) 978-4500

Free Goody Bags

Children ages 0–17 receive free goody bags while supplies last.

Event Details

This free, all-ages event is presented by The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department. Everyone is encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes and participate in this community tradition.
