Toni Robinson Waterfront Trail is a one-mile public trail located along the Indian River Lagoon in Vero Beach. The trail opened in 2013 and spans land acquired between 2009 and subsequent years, totaling more than 50 acres. It provides access to scrub habitat, oak forest, mangroves, and lagoon shoreline within a compact footprint.
The trail includes a half-mile out-and-back walk through sandy scrub and shaded oak canopy. In addition, a half-mile loop follows an impoundment trail with a boardwalk through mangroves. A dock extends into the lagoon and includes a covered bench for resting and viewing the water. The route is considered easy and suitable for walking and bicycling.
A small shaded parking area is located at 4290 79th Street, also known as Fleet Street, east of U.S. Highway 1. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the trail. Dogs are permitted but must remain leashed, and waste must be removed. Fishing is not permitted. Visitors are required to stay on marked trails and pack out all trash.
The trail offers a direct way to experience multiple coastal habitats in a short distance while maintaining conservation-focused access to the lagoon.
