The Flamingo takes over Vero Beach, Florida, for three days of community celebration and fundraising. Country music star Jake Owen returns to his hometown each year to host this multi-event weekend that blends entertainment with charitable giving.
Event Format
The weekend packs five distinct events into three days:
Events take place at various locations throughout Vero Beach. The main concert takes place in an aircraft hangar.
Foundation Impact
The Jake Owen Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to provide financial support to children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses through partnerships with organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Since founding in 2010, the Jake Owen Foundation has raised more than $8.5 million. The nonprofit now benefits about 30 different nonprofits including local chapters of Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Autism Speaks.
The foundation supports youth programs focused on healthcare, fitness, education, nutrition, and crisis care. Recent events have also supported hurricane relief efforts for those impacted in the Vero Beach area.
How to Participate
Community members can join the Flamingo event or make donations through the Jake Owen Foundation’s website at www.jakeowenfoundation.org. The foundation generates funding through private donations, brand sponsorships, and ticket sales.
