Shady Oaks Park is a public playground on the property of Vero Beach Nazarene Church. Opened in February 2023, it offers play equipment, a half basketball court, picnic tables, and a circular sidewalk suitable for scooters. A Little Free Library is also available. The playground is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4 p.m. for Vero Beach Academy’s homeschool co-op. It may also be unavailable during private events, as rentals are allowed for birthday parties and other gatherings.
The park has shaded areas, a fenced perimeter, and a parking lot. Seating is also available via several picnic tables and benches. However, visitors should note that there are no public restrooms in the park.
