Savannas Preserve State Park in Port St. Lucie offers visitors a look into the past with its scenic views of what the area looked like before development. The park protects a vital basin marsh ecosystem, once widespread on the Treasure Coast and in Southeast Florida, and provides diverse recreational activities for all ages.
There are multiple entrances to Savannas Preserve State Park, including one in Jensen Beach and a couple in Port St. Lucie. The park is open from 8 AM to sundown 365 days a year, and costs $3 per vehicle to enter.
Popular Activities: Hike, bike, or horseback ride along over 17 miles of multi-use trails. Canoe, kayak, or fish in freshwater marshes. Picnic pavilions are available near birdwatching and wildlife viewing.
