There is a wide range of outdoor activities at Riverbend Park Jupiter for visitors of all ages. Both beginners and experienced hikers can enjoy the trails that weave through the differing landscapes of wetlands, hardwoods, and the river. These trails vary in length and difficulty, so there’s something for everyone.

For water sport enthusiasts, Riverbend Park kayaking and canoeing are popular activities on the river. Visitors can rent boats or bring their own and explore the wildlife and natural vegetation from a different perspective. The park also caters to cyclists with paved and unpaved trails and fishing along designated river areas. There are even historical sites within the park like the Loxahatchee Battlefield.

Riverbend Park has plenty of picnic areas with grills to make a day of it with friends and/or family. Any information about the park and its trails can be obtained in the Visitor Center where you can also sign up for their guided programs. Educational programs are scheduled throughout the year for schools and the local community aimed at teaching about the local environment, history, and ecology. The programs at Riverbend Park are very popular, especially on weekends and holidays. Be advised that when the parking lot is full, they will not let any other car enter until space is available.

No. As a Wildlife Management area, Riverbend Park is one of a few parks where even leashed dogs are not allowed. The only exception is service animals as defined by the ADA.

As it’s near the river and there are plenty of swampy wetlands you should dress appropriately. While the trails are dry, you’ll need bug repellent to stay comfortable.

Yes. The park offers kayak rentals and group tours. Paddling on the Loxahatchee River can range from easy to moderately strenuous. Currently, they offer a Wild & Scenic Tour and a Battle & Paddle History Tour. These are subject to change and should be verified before visiting.
