McChesney Park spans 24.5 acres and has served the community since 1995. The park features six soccer fields with lighting, ensuring games can continue after sunset. Additionally, a fenced playground provides a safe space for children ages 2–12 to enjoy.
For dog owners, the ¾-acre dog park includes three separate fenced-in areas for small, medium, and large dogs. Each section has a shade structure and a water fountain. However, all dogs must have current licenses and vaccinations, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pet waste stations with bags and disposal containers are available.
The park also has a large pavilion with lighting, multiple picnic tables, and a small grill. Another pavilion, operated by the Mako Soccer Club, serves as a concession stand and is open during soccer events. Visitors can also fish in the on-site lake or take advantage of free Wi-Fi throughout the park. Furthermore, ADA-accessible restrooms are available for convenience.
