Jock Leighton Park is a well-regarded skate park in Palm City. It’s one of three skate parks in the Martin County areal that’s only a portion of the park though. The 16.5 acres also hold a soccer field and football field, running trails, a playground with swings, and pavilions with picnic tables.
The Palm City Skate Park offers concrete bowls combined with ramps on the inner portions. There’s also a street course with all the amenities and obstacles that skaters are looking for. During peak hours, a docent is available to watch the skate park. While it is mainly a skate park, there are also a few picnic tables and a playground with swings for other members of the family.
You can explore the small natural area with a little forest and wetland. The park has a decent parking lot and restrooms with drinking water and there are sometimes concessions stands in operation during youth sporting events. The main parts of the park are wheelchair accessible.
The park is dog-friendly, as long as they’re on a leash. There is no fenced-off area specifically for dogs.
No. There is nowhere to swim in this park.
