Fort Pierce Blessing of the Fleet

The Fort Pierce Blessing of the Fleet celebrates the community’s maritime heritage. Boats will gather in the Turning Basin near Derecktor Shipyards and proceed eastward to receive a blessing from clergy on a Coast Guard vessel anchored near the Inlet channel.

The event is open to all types of vessels, both commercial and recreational, to participate. After the blessing, the boats will take part in the “Pass in Review,” a ceremonial procession with the current Commodore and four past Commodores of the Fort Pierce Yacht Club. Small vessels such as kayaks, jet skis, and stand-up paddleboards will also gather at the Fort Pierce Yacht Club’s dock for their blessing.
