Colorado Avenue Park is a small riverfront park situated next to the historic 1904 Owl House, now an Airbnb. The park’s main attraction is the River Boardwalk, created through a partnership between the Florida Inland Navigation District and the City of Stuart. The boardwalk connects the park to the downtown stage and offers views of the Indian River and Roosevelt Bridge, especially during sunset.
In addition, the park features two memorials dedicated to motorcyclists Alan “Big Al” Koehler and D.F. “Deacon” Alchermes Jr. These memorials serve as reminders for drivers to exercise caution when passing motorcycles. Park amenities include a bike rack, benches, and a limited parking area. Haney Creek Pocket Park provides a tranquil spot for visitors to enjoy the riverfront and reflect on the area’s history.
