About Carlin Park

Carlin Park is known for its stunning beachfront. With beach access to the Atlantic Ocean, Carlin Park, Jupiter FL, offers great opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and beachcombing along Florida’s eastern coast. The swimming area boasts 3,000 feet of guarded waters with plenty of additional amenities to suit everyone’s needs including picnic areas and outdoor showers. If you contact the lifeguards, there’s a beach wheelchair available for handicapped access.

Carlin Park was named after, Charles Carlin, one of the keepers of the U.S. life-saving station at Jupiter Inlet between 1885 and 1889. This station is now the location of the Loggerhead restaurant.

For those who want a more fitness-oriented day, the run-walk course features 20 training stations (the Loggerhead exercise course) over one and a quarter miles to spice up your exercise. Alongside this course, there are also walking and biking trails that wind through the scenic landscape. Sports enthusiasts can find tennis, bocce ball, and volleyball courts for some competition with friends and family.

Carlin Park snorkeling is some of the best in the area. You can stay in the guarded swimming area, about 50 feet out from shore, and spot a reef full of natural rock formations, sting rays, blue angels, butterfly fish, and more. Outside of the swimming zone, you can enjoy saltwater fishing.

The single picnic areas are all equipped with grills and there’s a choice between renting single picnic pavilions and the larger group pavilions (3 total). Keep the family safe and happy with the three playground structures organized by age: 2-5 years, 5-12 years, or 2-12 years.

If you don’t want to pack your own food the Lazy Loggerhead Cafe, located near the beach, offers plenty of dishes for the whole family.

The Seabreeze Amphitheater often holds live music events and the annual Shakespeare by the Sea Festival. The park holds various other programs and exhibits throughout the year.
