Gardeners, collectors and weekend browsers all find something to love at the Botanical Bazaar and Orchid Symposium: Fall Plant Sale and Artisan Market, a semiannual tradition hosted at the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens. Set along the water in the city’s Port District, the Gardens open their grounds to local and regional plant vendors, artisans, food trucks and live music for a full day of shopping and strolling.
The plant sale is the heart of it all, with tropicals, natives, trees, flowering shrubs and houseplants priced for home growers. Vendors also bring planting containers, soil amendments, garden accessories and outdoor decor, so you can leave with everything you need rather than just the plant itself. The accompanying Orchid Symposium, presented with the Port St. Lucie Orchid Society, gives orchid lovers a chance to talk shop with experienced growers and get real answers about blooming, repotting and surviving Florida humidity.
Beyond the greenery, the artisan market fills the paths with paintings, pottery, woodwork, candles, glass art and handmade gifts. Add food and beverage vendors, raffles and prizes, and it becomes an easy family outing that pairs well with other things to do in Port St. Lucie. Bring a wagon, wear comfortable shoes and plan to linger in the shade of the Gardens.
