Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail brings a spooky twist to a good cause, as Indian River County First Responders host this family-friendly run along a scenic rail trail decked out in Halloween fright. Costumes are encouraged as runners and walkers of all paces wind their way past eerie decorations and haunted surprises tucked along the course, making it as fun to watch as it is to run.
More than just a race, this event supports a meaningful mission. Proceeds benefit counseling services, peer-support programs, and critical stress debriefing initiatives for local Police, Sheriff, Fire, and EMS personnel who serve the community every day. It is a great way to get some exercise, celebrate the Halloween season, and give back to the people who protect the Treasure Coast.
The race starts and finishes at the North County Aquatic Center in Sebastian, a welcoming hub for community events and recreation. Whether you are a seasoned racer chasing a new personal record or a family looking for a festive night out, the Sebastian Scream 5K offers something for everyone. Pair your visit with a stop at one of the area’s Sebastian beaches or explore more things to do in Sebastian while you are in town.
