Jungle Lights is an immersive nighttime experience at McKee Botanical Garden in Vero Beach that transforms the historic tropical landscape with illuminated wildlife and vibrant environmental displays. The event highlights the Garden’s deep history and its approach toward its centennial, offering a walk-through exhibition that focuses on the botanical and cultural richness of regions across South America. Visitors move through Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, each represented with distinct flora, fauna, and soundscapes that reflect their natural environments.
Guests encounter illuminated macaws, toucans, tree frogs, monkeys, flamingos, and owls positioned throughout the pathways. Additional glowing features include butterflies, hummingbirds, and an alpaca integrated into the Garden’s existing lantern installations. Traditional holiday elements return each season within the Garden’s historic structures, including a large illuminated reindeer display, seasonal model trains, and designated areas where event-specific programming may take place.
Important: Jungle Lights operates as a ticketed evening event, with both regular and premium nights offered. Some nights are closed, such as Christmas and New Year’s Day, so be sure to check with the garden and get tickets ahead of time.
Tickets are available online and through the Garden admissions office during daytime hours. Parking is available on-site, with overflow parking and shuttle service offered on higher-attendance evenings. The event continues rain or shine, and any weather-related cancellations by McKee allow guests to use their tickets for another scheduled evening.
