Little Mud Creek is a boat launch and trail on the Indian River Lagoon, located on Ocean Boulevard about one mile north of the St. Lucie Power Plant. It’s just north of Blind Creek Beach, a locally-renowned nude beach.
The area offers a peaceful spot for birdwatching, with species such as the common ground dove, mourning dove, anhinga, brown pelican, and yellow-crowned night heron frequently spotted. Kayakers can paddle south towards the power plant, and can access a mangrove path leading to the beach. Remember that Blind Creek Beach is a clothing-optional area, so you don’t get any surprises!
The site also offers plenty of free parking in an unpaved lot for visitors. Little Mud Creek is ideal for those looking for a quiet, natural escape with easy access to water activities and wildlife viewing.
