The Indian River County Christmas Boat Parade is an annual event celebrating the holiday season with beautifully decorated boats in the Intracoastal Waterway. Participants can join from all boat types and sizes. The parade starts with staging in the Intracoastal Waterway north of the Merrill Barber Bridge in Vero Beach. The boats will navigate through the City of Vero Beach Marina channel, continue south to the Quail Valley channel, and loop back to the Intracoastal Waterway. The parade heads further south to Young’s Park channel, eventually turning north to end near the Royal Palm Pointe dock.
Before the parade, there will be a Captain’s Meeting on December 11 at Quail Valley River Club for participating captains. This meeting will cover parade logistics and offer drinks and hors d’oeuvres. The parade is organized by the Marine Industries Association and offers a scenic view for spectators along the route. Families can gather at various spots along the route to enjoy the festive boats.
The Vero Beach Christmas Boat Parade has been canceled for 2024.
