On Sunday, April 20, the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation will join BUZZ 103.1 FM and Keep Martin Beautiful to host the Second Annual BUZZ Beach Clean-up and Music Festival. The event will begin with a comprehensive clean-up of Martin County beaches followed by a prize raffle, barbecue and live reggae music.

Volunteers are asked to sign in at 9:00 a.m. at the south end of Stuart Beach on South Hutchinson Island before heading out to to clean their favorite beaches. Trash bags, gloves and water will be provided. At noon, volunteers will be treated to a prize raffle and reggae music festival with performances by Fresh Catch, Jomico and Walleyman and the Bamboo Shoots.

The public is invited to bring their own barbecue for the event. The raffle will benefit Students for Recycling -- a new recycling program being launched in local schools by Surfrider, Keep Martin Beautiful and Waste Management. Prizes will include original artwork, custom-stenciled T-shirts from Surfrider and merchandise provided by local merchants and the BUZZ 103.1. All clean-up volunteers will receive a free raffle ticket.
