SHERIFF’S AGENTS ARREST CHILD PORNOGRAPHY SUSPECT

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Joshua Alan Shaver of Malabar
yesterday after serving a search warrant at his home.
The investigation was initiated after Sheriff’s agents received information that Shaver
may be involved in child pornography. Agents obtained a search warrant for his
residence, which resulted in the seizure of evidence related to the possession of child
pornography. Shaver was charged with 12 counts of possessing material depicting sexual
conduct by a child and is being held at the Brevard County jail with a $420,000.00
bond.
The evidence seized is being forensically reviewed with additional charges pending.
Shaver is suspected of producing the images, which may indicate there are possible
victims. Parents who may be concerned of potential victims are asked to please contact
